Swim Squad

This group is for kids aged 7-10 who can swim freestyle, backstroke and are at least partially proficient in breaststroke and butterfly. 

Swim Squad 1 is excellent for swimmers who have been on a summer league team or who just love to swim, but don't want a super competitive environment. We do not have meets, but we will have internal racing for practice! This group runs for 55 minutes.

Prerequisites: Your swimmer should be able to . . .​​

-Swim freestyle with side breathing for at least

-50 yards without stopping

-Swim backstroke 50 yards without stopping

-Swim breaststroke 25 yards

-Swim Butterfly 25 yards (use of fins as needed) 

By the end of Swim Squad I, your swimmer will be able to . . .

-Swim freestyle for 100 yards without stopping

-Swim backstroke for 100 yards without stopping

-Swim breaststroke for 50 yards with proficient open turns

-Swim butterfly 50 yards with proficient open turns

-Flip Turn into the wall and push off

-Dive from the side of the pool and breakout into stroke

-Tread water for 1 minute

This group is for kids aged 11-18 who can swim all 4 competitive strokes. 

Swim Squad III is excellent for swimmers who have the skill to join a competitive team, but don't want a super competitive environment or highly committed practice schedule. Great opportunity for high-level swimmers who want to train off-season for other sports or for those trying to make a high school team. We deeply focus on technique work to ensure excellent swimming for years to come. We also put some yardage on so your endurance can begin to take root and grow in this group.

Prerequisites: Your swimmer should be able to . . .

-Swim freestyle for 200 yards with flip turns

-Swim backstroke for 200 yards with flip turns​

-Swim breaststroke for 100 yards 

-Swim butterfly for 100 yards

-Dive off the blocks and maintain a streamline/complete a pulldown 

-Tread water for 2 minutes

By the end of Swim Squad II, your swimmer will be able to . . .

-Swim freestyle using a 3 stroke breathing cadence for 400 yards with flip turns

-Swim backstroke for 200 yards with flip turns​

-Swim breaststroke for 100 yards with pulldowns off the wall

-Swim butterfly for 100 yards breathing every other stroke

-Swim a 100 IM with proficient turns

-Proficiently dive off the blocks, including flyover starts​​
